Yesterday was a typical day at the KGH cancer clinic, I started cycle 11 of 24 in the continuation(final) phase. Each 3 week cycle starts with a doctors appointment then after examination and consultation “Doctor Orders” are sent the Chemo Clinic. Usually there is at least an hour wait for chemo to be mixed on these days so we headed out for brunch, which is much nicer than hanging out in the waiting room. I received two IV drugs and my usual bag of prescriptions then headed home, thankfully when I am feeling good the side effects from these drugs are minimal.
